SPRING SHOW 2019
SNOWPLOW SAM and the MYSTERY of the HAUNTED ICE RINK
Plan to join us for a Skating Spooktacular!
Sunday, March 31, 2019, 2:00 p.m.
Dress rehearsal: Saturday, March 30, 12:30 p.m.
Show participation is open to any FSCQC skating member. There is a $25 participation fee, and there may be additional costume costs. Solos are reserved for those who have passed at least the Preliminary or Bronze Moves or Bronze Dance tests.
In the interest of time, we ask that all feature numbers be limited to 1:30+/- for adults and skaters below the Juvenile level, and 2:00+/- for those Juvenile and higher. By doing so, we avoid the need to "raise the bar" on requirements to earn solos, at least for the time being. When in doubt, keep it shorter and leave them wanting more!
MUSIC ALREADY CLAIMED:
Overture: Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Snowplow: Monster Mash
LTS Low: Ghostbusters
LTS Middle: Theme from "The X-Files"
LTS High: The Batty Bat
Adults: Funeral March of a Marionette
Instructors: Thriller
Finale: The Time Warp
Sophia Cauwels: Somebody's Watching Me
Sophia Diekema: Hansel & Gretel
Alex Neujahr: I Put a Spell On You
Haley Preston: Spooky
Anna Senjem: Unstoppable
Mylie Shook: Dark Lady
Sydney Struss: Pink Panther
Lily Tackett: Harry Potter "Statues"
OTHER MUSIC IDEAS:
We're trying to create a "mysterious" or "spooky" mood, not necessarily scary, and NOT explicitly about Halloween. The story of this show is sort of "Scooby-Doo meets Blues Clues", as the Snowplow skaters try to solve the Mystery of the Haunted Ice Rink. This list is meant to give you ideas; you do not need to limit yourself to these selections. Please check with Sue to make sure that your number works with our theme. (Thanks to Marci for hunting most of these down!)
Selections from:
Harry Potter, Twilight, The Munsters, The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Wizards of Waverly Place, The Phantom of the Opera, Nightmare Before Xmas, The Corpse Bride, the album "A-Haunting We Will Go-Go" by The Ghastly Ones, Young Frankenstein
