One of our most frequently asked questions is where to get costumes for competition or shows. Tights, socks, laces, soakers, and guards are available through any skate supply source. Specialty undergarments are generally found through dancewear sources. Below are some sources our members have used for costuming, and we are always happy to add to the list!

If You Sew:
Patterns:
Kwik Sew     kwiksew.mccall.com/    (usually available at fabric stores)
Jalie     jalie.com/    (harder to find at retail stores, but can be mail-ordered)

Fabric:
Fabric Depot:    www.fabricdepotco.com/
Spandex World     spandexworld.com/
Blue Moon:   www.bluemoonfabrics.com

Wherever you get fabric, be sure it stretches in both directions.

Rhinestones:
Dreamtime Creations     www.dreamtimecreations.com/

If You Want to Buy Ready-Made:
These are just a few of the options out there. Some are a lot more expensive than others. The specialty fabrics used in skating costumes account for some of the cost, but much of it comes from the rhinestone embellishments. It is possible to buy plain dresses and trim them yourself.
