THE ANDY DOY AWARD
Andy Doy is the first Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities lifetime member to earn his United States Figure Skating Senior level Moves in the Field and Free Skating tests, passing every test on his first try.  Congratulations to Andy and to all FSCQC members who follow in his edges, completing the highest test in their figure skating disciplines.  We honor the following skaters:

ADULT NATIONALS 2003
Anne-Louise Krambeck and John Hintze won the Adult Pairs event in a field of 8 teams at the 2003 U.S. Adult National Championships, held in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They were invited to perform in the exhibition held at the conclusion of the competition.

​ANDY SEITZ, JUNIOR NATIONAL AND WORLD MEDALIST
Andy Seitz teamed up with Kendra Moyle in February 2005. Together, they are the 2006 U.S. Junior National Champions and 2006 World Junior Silver Medalists in Pairs Skating. They skated on both the Junior Grand Prix and senior Grand Prix circuit in the 2006/2007 season. Andy and Kendra represented the Onyx Skating Academy, but Andy previously skated with his sister Lindsey Seitz, representing the FSCQC.

ADULT NATIONALS 2016
​Susan Schwaegler and her partner David Bakke of the Midland (MI) FSC won the gold medal in Bronze Dance at the 2016 Adult National Championships held in Ann Arbor, MI. They also received the Dr. Richard "Dick" Stutzke Memorial Trophy, presented to the winners of this event. Their names have been added to the trophy, which is kept at the U.S. Figure Skating Museum in Colorado Springs, CO.

KATE SCHWAEGLER, QUADRUPLE GOLD MEDALIST
Kate became the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities' first Quadruple Gold Medalist on November 11, 2018, when she passed her Senior Solo Free Dance Test in Winnetka, IL.  She previously passed Senior MIF in 2003 (Senior Supplemental MIF in 2011), Senior Free Skating in 2007, and Gold Solo Dance in 2015. SALLIE DOAK BROZOVICH
Sallie began her synchronized skating career with our River's Edge teams and went on to skate with the University of Wisconsin Synchronized Skating Team. In 2014, the team took 4th place at the Midwestern and Pacific Coast Sectional Championships and 7th place at the National Championships in the Collegiate division. In 2016, they took 1st place at the Sectional Championships at the Intercollegiate level. Sallie returned to The River's Edge as our Learn to Skate director after college, and now has a career in nursing.

NICHOLAS WEST
Nick brought past experience in yoga and gymnastics with him when he began skating at age 19. As a result, he made unusually rapid progress, and was soon an instructor in the Learn to Skate program at The River's Edge. He is now a professional show skater, having appeared in holiday shows at Sea World in Orlando, Florida and in multiple tours with Disney On Ice.

KATE SCHWAEGLER NADEAU
Kate is a former FSCQC skater and coach who went on to skate professionally with Ice Dance International. Below is her biography for their 2022 Winter residency.   icedanceinternational.org/home

Kate is a 4-time USFS Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field, Free Skating, Solo Pattern Dance, and Solo Free Dance. She received her early training in Davenport, IA, where she also launched her coaching career in 2010. She is now based in Lewiston-Auburn, ME, where she works with both figure skaters and hockey players at the Norway Savings Bank Arena. Kate is thrilled to have this professional opportunity with Ice Dance International!
